X to Conclude Revenue Sharing and Introduces New Rewards Program for Creators

X will conclude its revenue sharing program on September 7 and introduce new rewards for creators who produce original content.

Microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is discontinuing its revenue sharing program and launching a new rewards scheme for creators.

The company announced on Friday that the Original Content Rewards Program will take the place of the current revenue sharing program.

As stated by the X Creators Team, the new program aims to reward creators who generate original content and engage meaningfully in discussions on the platform.

X stated that the revenue sharing program will conclude on September 7, 2026, allowing creators currently enrolled to continue earning until that date.

“Today, we’re unveiling the Original Content Rewards Program—an innovative opportunity for creators to earn on X by sharing original content and making significant contributions to the conversation,” the company stated.

“If you are presently participating in revenue sharing, you will keep earning until September 7, 2026, and your last revenue sharing payout will be distributed on September 11, 2026.”

Applications for the Original Content Rewards Program will commence on September 8, provided that creators fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Creators can verify their eligibility in the Creator Studio within the Original Content Rewards section.

X stated that creators who have successfully completed identity verification and linked a valid payout method will not be required to undergo the process again.

“Once approved, you will continue to earn under the Original Content Rewards Program and its Terms and Conditions,” it stated.

X has consistently been driven by individuals who possess a distinct ability: delivering breaking news, providing expert insights, sharing unique experiences, showcasing creativity, and offering commentary that advances culture.

“We aim to recognize those who contribute to making X a daily destination, so we’re enhancing the way creators earn on this platform.”
