Indiana mother was charged with offering her infant daughter for sex on Snapchat
Morgan Stapp, a mother of seven, is charged with trying to use social media to sell her infant daughter access for $400.
After reportedly trying to set up an upsetting trade involving her seven-month-old daughter, an Indiana woman is currently incarcerated. According to authorities, Morgan Stapp, 32, offered her baby for $400 to a man she met on Snapchat.
A probable cause affidavit examined by PEOPLE claims that Stapp sent the man a message that said, “You can f**k her for $400.” Half now, half later. I’ll provide my address because I live alone and her father isn’t involved.
The FBI launched an inquiry after the allegedly November 2024 discussion was reported. Stapp stated that her Snapchat account had been “recently compromised” and that she had since purchased a new phone when questioned by federal officials.
She then acknowledged to a child services caseworker, according to the document, that her initial accusation was untrue. Between October 29 and November 1, investigators found over 7,000 messages, 81 of which included graphic images of her daughters “to pay for diapers.”
In a recent court appearance, Stapp identified herself as a stay-at-home mother who occasionally gets aid from her parents in addition to government assistance. She added that she earns extra cash by using food delivery services like Instacart and DoorDash.
According to Stapp, her children were taken away by the Indiana Department of Child Services in December of last year but were given back to her in June. At the moment, she is being held on $100,000. In September, Stapp is scheduled to return to court.
