Skai Jackson’s baby daddy was arrested once more amid the drama surrounding a restraining order

Apparently, Skai Jackson’s baby daddy can’t stay out of trouble.

The young rapper was apprehended by the police because they had a legal arrest warrant out for him for not showing up for court in May after he was unable to renew his driver’s license.

Skai Jackson filed for a restraining order against the rapper Deondre Burgin months after they welcomed a newborn boy, Kassai, earlier in the year.

On July 14, while cleaning a car at a Kentucky gas station, Burgin was detained once more. Officers apparently discovered that he had an outstanding warrant in Hamilton County, Ohio, while conducting a standard license plate check. 

When Burgin failed to show up for court after receiving a ticket for not reinstalling his driver’s license and for placing the license plate incorrectly in Cincinnati, this warrant was granted. He was supposed to appear in court on May 5 after receiving this ticket on March 6; however, he was unable to attend the trial.

He also has a criminal history, which includes being detained in April due to another pending warrant, according to TMZ. At the time of Jackson’s January delivery, he was serving a 90-day jail sentence for breaking his parole.

The actress requested a restraining order against the rapper from the court approximately four months after the birth of her son. Over the course of more than a year, she accused him of numerous acts of abuse, including an attack on Mother’s Day.

She said that when their son was in her arms, Burgin slammed her face into a car window and yanked her hair, as reported by The Blast. Jackson went on to say that he also punched her in the face, as if that weren’t enough.

Burgin committed a string of violent acts against her in 2024, choking, clawing, and trashing her belongings as part of the physical assault.

He allegedly urged her to ingest bleach during her pregnancy and threatened to stab her in the stomach if she sounded any alarms. Jackson then requested that Burgins, herself, their child, and her pet be kept 100 yards apart by the court.

In addition, she asked the rapper to handle her child support and legal bills in a proper manner. In order for her ex-partner to change for the better, Jackson also wants him to sign up for a domestic violence treatment program.

Numerous antagonistic encounters have marred Burgin’s experience with the police. Last year, a near-fatal incident involving the rapper and multiple police officers during an arrest procedure was captured on camera and went viral.

Burgin almost died while attempting to escape from the officers, according to sources from the site of the tense encounter. Two officers eventually apprehended him after making an effort to physically restrain him.

While they sought backup, an officer held the rapper to the ground with one knee. Burgin was wounded on the cheek after falling during the altercation, but no other serious injuries were noted.

He was listed as wanted for breaking the conditions of his parole, according to reports from government documents.
