Actor Braxton Demarco Wells calls out Tyler Perry for alleged cover-up and accuses Mark E. Swinton, an executive at Tyler Perry Studios, of grooming and rape

The actor claims that a top executive enticed him to Georgia, where he was beaten and coerced into remaining silent.

Mark E. Swinton, the Senior Vice President of Scripted Programming at Tyler Perry Studios, is being accused in public by actor and veteran Braxton Demarco Wells of grooming and sexually abusing him.

Wells claims in a thorough Instagram post earlier this week that he was flown to Georgia from Los Angeles in the sake of advancing his career.

Wells wrote, “Mark E. Swinton, you flew me from Los Angeles to Georgia under false pretenses, groomed and raped me while I was under your influence.” “You committed unspeakable evil behind closed doors by abusing your position as Vice President of Tyler Perry Studios, a company that claims to stand for faith.”

Perry was also criticized by Wells, who said that the director kept quiet to safeguard his reputation.

He wrote, “Tyler Perry, you constructed your empire on the façade of a devout man, but you chose to remain silent when darkness infiltrated through your own executive.” “To protect your brand over a broken human life, you kept a predator in your home and assisted in its cover-up. That is deception, not faith. All are seen by Yahweh Elohim. He is not made fun of.

Perry knew what had transpired, according to Wells, and an attorney tried to coerce him into signing a non-disclosure agreement. He now claims he intends to sue for rape, emotional suffering, and legal malpractice and is requesting that the NDA be revoked.

There has been no retreat from Wells since going public. Post after post on his Instagram now criticizes Swinton, Perry, and the purported cover-up. His page is filled with videos, screenshots, and descriptions that detail his accusations.

Neither Swinton nor Perry have addressed the accusations in public as of yet.

These allegations come after “The Oval” actor Derek Dixon filed a complaint recently, alleging that Perry assaulted him after they met at an event in 2019. Matthew Boyd, Perry’s attorney, refuted the allegation and referred to it as a fraud.

“This person approached Tyler Perry for what now seems to be nothing more than arranging a scam,” he stated. “However, Tyler will not be deterred, and we are certain that these false allegations of harassment will not stand up.”

Public pressure to come out is growing as two other men have now accused Perry and his studio of wrongdoing.
