The United States reduces Nigerians’ Visa validity to three months and one entry
Nigerian non-immigrants’ Visa validity has been lowered by the US to one entrance per three months.
A significant change to the United States’ non-immigrant Visa policy for Nigerian nationals has been announced, limiting the duration of the majority of non-official and non-immigrant Visas to one entry for a period of three months.
The US has shortened the duration of the majority of non-immigrant, non-diplomatic Visas to three months with one-time entrance, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Nigeria on Tuesday.
The US Department of State revised its reciprocal non-immigrant Visa program, according to the statement. The majority of Nigerian citizens’ non-immigrant and non-official Visas will henceforth be single-entry, with a three-month validity period. Prior to July 8, 2025, Visas are still valid.
According to the regulation, Nigerian travelers who have been granted a US Visa since July 8 would only be permitted to enter the country once during a 90-day period. This is a major decrease from the two-year multiple-entry Visas that were previously frequently granted.
