Cardi B Reveals Her Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album’s Cover Art and Release Date

The wait is nearly over.

The Grammy-winning emcee Cardi B revealed the album’s title, cover art, and release date on Monday, June 23, bringing the much anticipated second album closer to completion.

On September 19, Bardi’s second album, Am I the Drama?, will be released.

The rapper hinted at the announcement on Instagram the day before.

“After seven years, the moment has arrived. “Love, light, and loss for seven years,” Cardi wrote in the visualizer. “I gave them grace for seven years, but now I give them hell.” I discovered that power must be gained. I’m no longer crying, and I’m dropping feathers. I’m beyond; I’m not coming back. I’m your karma, not your villain. The moment has arrived. Now is the moment.

The 23-track album will feature Cardi’s most recent single, “Outside,” along with previously released songs “WAP” and “Up.”

After the rapper had previously attributed the lengthy delay on her colleagues, SZA joked, “Let me send this verse chile,” in the album announcement remarks.

“I really need these f**king features and it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down,” Cardi posted on social media in May, expressing her frustration. But it’s like, hurry up! That’s what I need! […] I truly need you all, so please hurry up; I adore you all. No one wants to miss being on this record, in my opinion.

Her first album, Invasion of Privacy, won a Grammy for Best Rap Album and has two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 songs. Additionally, each track has at least one platinum RIAA certification.
