Kelly Experiences “Near-Fatal Overdose” In a prison
The 58-year-old musician, who is spending 30 years in a North Carolina jail for sex trafficking and racketeering, was put in isolation on June 10 with his anxiety medicine, according to a new petition by his lawyer, Beau Brindley.
He lost consciousness three days later after receiving additional medication from jail authorities, and on June 13 he was sent to Duke University Hospital.
He was placed under surveillance for two days before being returned to his cell.
Officers purposefully “gave him an amount of medicine that could have killed him,” according to the lawyer’s startling allegations.
In the records, he stated: “This was no error. It was a dose that almost put his life in danger.
After that, Brindley submitted an urgent motion to have Kelly released from prison early.
This is his third attempt to free his client from prison.
Kelly, who fears for his life in federal jail, is already pleading with US President Donald Trump for clemency.
In an emergency request, the disgraced rapper’s lawyer claimed that three Bureau of Prisons (BOP) personnel conspired to kill him while he was a prisoner.
“We think that President Trump is the only person with the courage to help us,” Brindley said to People.
Kelly’s legal team is hopeful that Trump would award a pardon or commutation.

Inmate Mikeal Glenn Stine made a declaration as part of the emergency request, claiming that three senior BOP officials asked him to kill Kelly.
Stine, who identified himself as an Aryan Brotherhood member and claimed to have served as a commissioner for the organization in the past, said that prison officials had arranged for him to be transferred to Kelly’s section at the Federal Correctional Institution Butner in North Carolina, where he is also detained.
Stine said that he was promised the opportunity to live as a “free man” and to be released from custody in exchange for committing or planning the murder.
Along with claiming to have terminal disease, Stine later disclosed the plot to Kelly and said he no longer planned to carry it out.
Trump stated last month that he might think about pardoning Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing comparable federal charges.
