The Libyan minister of trade and economy quits the globally recognized government
Mohamed al-Hawij, Libya’s Economy and Trade Minister in the internationally recognized government, told Reuters that he resigned. He joined at least two other ministers who quit earlier on Friday, which happened in the middle of protests in the city after this week’s violent clashes.
They are Badr al-Tumi, who is Minister of Local Government, and Abu Bakr al-Ghawi, who is Minister of Housing.
