Lawyer says Zammel, who ran for president of Tunisia, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail
Ayachi Zammel, a presidential candidate in Tunisia, was given a 12-year jail sentence on Tuesday for forgery, according to his lawyer.
It was Zammel’s third prison term in two weeks, and the news came out five days before the election for president.
