13 candidates have been approved by Ghana’s electoral board to run for president
Thirteen candidates, including Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and former president John Dramani Mahama, have been accepted by Ghana’s electoral commission to run for president on December 7. A top official from the elections authority said this on Friday.
The commission also announced that Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former trade and industry minister who quit the ruling party to run as an independent candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako, a businessman running for the top job for the first time, and Nana Akosua Frimpomaa, one of two women running, had all been accepted.
