The Campari company acquires a minority share in the owner of whisky brands
The Italian spirits company Campari (CPRI.MI) announced on Tuesday that it acquired a 14.6% ownership interest in Capevin Holdings Proprietary Limited, a company in South Africa that completes the ownership of whisky producer CVH Spirits, for a total of £69.6 million ($91.82 million).
Founded in Scotland, CVH Spirits manufactures and promotes the single malt whisky brands Bunnahabhain, Deanston, Tobermory, and Ledaig, as well as the blended whisky brands Scottish Leader and Black Bottle.
