Foden, Palmer, and Watkins were excluded from the England squad
The Football Association made the announcement on Tuesday that Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins, and Phil Foden will not be participating in England’s forthcoming Nations League matches.
After the squad reported to St George’s Park, the FA announced that Palmer and Watkins have returned to their respective clubs to resume their rehabilitation from ongoing issues.
Foden, who was summoned by interim England manager Lee Carsley, was unable to report due to illness and has been rendered ineligible for the forthcoming matches. He is just 24 years old.
On Sept. 7, England will journey to Dublin to face Ireland, followed by a three-day match against Finland at Wembley.
