Thai Foreign Minister steps down, according to local media
Following a cabinet change that resulted in her losing her position as deputy prime minister, Thai Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara unexpectedly resigned, according to local media on Sunday.
The media stories have not been independently verified by Reuters. A representative for the government told Reuters he would look into the situation.
Parnpree is no longer named as deputy prime minister; instead, she is listed merely as foreign minister in Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s new cabinet, which was approved by the Thai king and published in the official Royal Gazette on Sunday.
