Tanzania experience blackout in some regions connected to the national grid – TANESCO apologize

The Tanzania Electricity Corporation (TANESCO) has given clarification on the act of power outage starting at 2:00 am this morning in various regions of the country as well as Zanzibar.

TANESCO’s statement to the public says that at 2:22 am the morning of, April 1, 2024, an error occurred on the national grid and led to all regions that are connected to the grid without electricity.

“Our experts have already started to make efforts to ensure that they restore electricity to all affected regions, we strongly request all Tanzanians to be patient while we continue with the efforts to restore the electricity service.”
