Shields currently holds titles in the 154, 160, 168, 175, and heavyweight divisions. What follows is the intriguing segment. She has engaged in discussions with Lauren Price, the unified welterweight champion, aboutg a match that would bring two Olympic gold medalists face to face in the ring. Mikaela Mayer is an additional contender, as she will defend her unified super welterweight belts against Chantelle Cameron later this month. Shields has expressed her willingness to face Tamm Thibeault of Canada, the current holder of the WBO and IBF middleweight titles, presenting Shields with an opportunity to achieve undisputed status at middleweight for a third time.

All of these events occurred on a day when her personal life was already generating its own headlines. Papoose shared a video of himself getting her name tattooed on his body just hours before the fight, marking his first public action since Remy Ma dropped “Wanna Go.”
