Nicki Minaj Introduces a $10 Monthly Subscription on X

The rapper launched a paid tier on Elon Musk’s platform featuring exclusive posts, Spaces, and a subscriber badge. Early statistics reveal the true value of a fanbase like the Barbz.

The Nicki Minaj subscription on X is now available for $10 a month. She shared the news with her 26.6 million followers in a post that began with “I finally did it,” and went on to describe the paid tier as a space for fans to laugh, argue, express emotions, and be themselves without the distractions of the open timeline.

The subscribe page highlights exclusive posts as the main benefit, and her announcement included exclusive spaces, which are live audio rooms that X users can host and participate in. Subscribers receive a badge that displays next to their name whenever they respond to her, which is the element that truly engages a fanbase like hers. It transforms her responses into a space where paying fans are clearly distinguished from the rest, and for the Barbz, being acknowledged by her has consistently held significant value.

The page initially boasted 1.1K subscribers. At $10 per person, that amounts to approximately $11,000 each month, or around $132,000 annually if the figure remains consistent. The Nicki Minaj subscription is part of X Creator Subscriptions, a program in which X does not take any revenue share for itself. Creators retain up to 97 percent of their gross earnings, with the remaining portion allocated to fees from Apple and Google app stores, as well as payment processing costs. Once a creator surpasses $50,000 in lifetime earnings, the rate decreases to 90 percent. Currently, she is generating approximately $10,000 a month from the paid tier before taxes, and each new subscriber contributes to a recurring revenue stream rather than a one-time payment.
