MrBeast, the world’s biggest YouTuber, has tied the knot with his longtime fiancée Thea Booysen in an intimate ceremony on Richard Branson’s Caribbean island.
YouTube star MrBeast, known as Jimmy Donaldson, has tied the knot with his fiancée, Thea Booysen, in an intimate ceremony on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
The 28-year-old content creator, recognized as the world’s largest YouTuber with over 500 million subscribers, revealed the marriage in a collaborative Instagram post with Booysen, showcasing images from the ceremony. The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt celebration, as Donaldson had previously expressed his desire for a small and private wedding, contrasting with his reputation for lavish online productions.
Donaldson captioned the post, “Found MrsBeast,” and described the occasion as “the best day of my life.”
Photos from the wedding captured Booysen in a stunning floor-length lace wedding gown adorned with a floral design, while Donaldson looked sharp in a classic white tuxedo. Booysen later donned a white mini dress featuring a sparkly bodice and a feathered skirt for the cake cutting before transitioning into an off-the-shoulder satin outfit later in the celebration.
On Christmas Day in 2024, Donaldson proposed to the couple while they both wore matching MrBeast-branded festive jumpers.
Donaldson has created one of the largest online followings globally by producing viral YouTube videos that showcase intricate challenges, substantial cash giveaways, and notable stunts. He also developed the Prime Video reality competition series Beast Games, where contestants vie for a multi-million-dollar prize.
Booysen, originally from South Africa, is a content creator with her own YouTube channel, TheaBeasty, boasting nearly 140,000 subscribers. She streams on Twitch and is a published author.
Donaldson’s online success has positioned him as one of the world’s most influential digital creators. However, he has encountered legal challenges in recent months, including a lawsuit from a former employee who alleges sexual harassment and workplace gender bias. He has faced legal action from contestants regarding their treatment during Beast Games, as well as allegations that some of his giveaway videos and competitions were staged.
