Investors are taking legal action against Selena Gomez, alleging fraud related to her mental health start-up

Investors are taking legal action against Selena Gomez, claiming that she did not meet her commitments to develop and promote her mental health start-up, Wondermind Global.

Selena Gomez, the singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she committed fraud in relation to the management and promotion of her mental health start-up, Wondermind Global.

The lawsuit, submitted on Thursday in federal court in Delaware, asserts that the plaintiffs invested close to $1.2 million in the company, which was established in 2021 to assist users in enhancing their “mental fitness.”

The investors indicated that they were informed Gomez, who boasts over 500 million followers on social media, would take an active role in developing the company as its head of marketing.

They claim that Gomez and other company executives did not meet their commitments, including the development of a mobile app.

“Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing her to perform and then disregarded it,” the lawsuit stated.

“There was no legitimate enterprise in progress, let alone a profitable one,” the plaintiffs stated, claiming that the company did not fulfill “even its most fundamental obligations, such as promptly paying its employees and vendors.”

The investors stated that they only learned about the company’s financial and operational issues after an online news report highlighted them in September 2025.

They aim to reclaim their investments and legal expenses.

A representative for Gomez has not yet provided a response to the request for comment.
