Since the fighting began in February, the war has resulted in the deaths of 18 US service members, left over 450 troops injured, and incurred an estimated cost of $37.5 billion to American taxpayers. Thousands of Iranians have lost their lives, and the conflict has led to an increase in global oil prices and escalated tensions throughout the region.

The fallen troops are First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad, 28, and Private Isabella Gonzales, 19, who lost their lives when an Iranian missile hit their sleeping quarters at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. All three were assigned to air defense units in the US Army.
The fourth service member, Sergeant Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, lost his life in Erbil, Iraq, during a controlled detonation involving an attack drone, as reported by the Defense Department.
The Pentagon has confirmed that 100 US service members have sustained injuries since July 7, with 96 percent of those wounded having returned to active duty.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll revealed that a majority of Americans anticipate the conflict with Iran to persist for a prolonged duration, while backing for US military intervention remains constrained.
