Anthony Joshua, along with Mourinho and Lewandowski, has joined the elite roster of CAA Sports

Anthony Joshua, the former heavyweight champion, has joined CAA Sports to grow his business interests before going back to fighting.

Anthony Joshua, the two-time heavyweight world champion, has signed a commercial representation deal with CAA Sports. This brings him even more fame outside of boxing and adds him to a list of famous clients that includes football boss José Mourinho and striker Robert Lewandowski.

Joshua and the 258 Group came to an understanding that will let the former two-time heavyweight world champion work with the global sports agency on business deals, endorsements, and other projects.

As part of the deal, Freddie Cunningham, Managing Director of 258 Group, has been named Head of Client Strategy within CAA Sports Talent Group.

Cunningham will be based in London and be in charge of all of Joshua’s business dealings, including endorsements, speaking events, and publishing. He will also continue to work closely with 258 Group and the fighter’s family office. He will also help CAA Sports’ foreign athletes with business development projects.

Rome Di Somma, who is the Head of International Talent at CAA Sports, will be Cunningham’s boss in his new job.

Joshua will join a very select group of athletes and sports personalities who are managed by CAA Sports. These people include Son Heung-min, Liam Lawson, Sky Brown, Cole Palmer, Gary Neville, Laura Woods, and Kobbie Mainoo.

Joshua, 36, became a professional boxer in 2013 and has had one of the best careers of his time, winning two heavyweight world titles.

He last fought in December 2025 and ended Jake Paul in the sixth round of a fight that was streamed on Netflix from Miami.

Late that month, the British-Nigerian boxer was in a car accident in Nigeria that killed his strength teacher, Sina Ghami, and personal trainer, Latif Ayodele. Joshua got hurt in the accident, and the driver who caused it was later charged.

The former Olympic winner is now getting ready to fight again on July 25 in Saudi Arabia, when he is set to meet Kristian Prenga.

Joshua and the 258 Group have slowly built a wide range of businesses outside of boxing. These include real estate, technology, content creation, health and performance businesses, and more.

He also has marketing deals with many well-known brands around the world, such as Under Armour, Audemars Piguet, Hugo Boss, Jaguar Land Rover, DAZN, EA Sports, Meta, and Beats by Dre.

Even though Joshua has a new relationship with CAA Sports, his long-term team will still be in charge of his other business.

His business interests, family office operations, and in-ring issues will still be managed by 258 Group. Soapbox will continue to handle communications, Level will continue to handle legal matters, and Matchroom Boxing will continue to handle promotions.
