Cassie says that her ex-“freak-off” partner made online threats against her; She is now seeking the intervention of a judge to assist her

The most recent news isn’t about old accusations anymore. It’s about what the court could do if a case gets shared on social media.

Cassie is asking a judge to get involved in her case against Clayton Howard because her lawyers say that the former male escort went too far in criticizing her in public and started to threaten her. Posts on social media have become a new point of contention in the case. Cassie’s team claims that they used threats, harassment, and language that blamed the target.

“B***h, I’m going to burn you out with fire,” Howard allegedly said in a video shared last week, according to TMZ. Howard’s lawyers sent a letter to the judge in charge of his case on Thursday saying the same. Howard is said to have also said, “You want to play stupid games? You can win stupid prizes.” The lawyers for Cassie say that those statements are “true threats of violence.”

The filing request complicates an already intricate case, stemming from the events following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial for a crime. Howard went to federal court in California on June 30, 2025, and sued Diddy, Cassandra Ventura, Bad Boy Records, and Combs Enterprises. Judge Anne Hwang was responsible for the case.

Howard claims he sustained injuries at sex parties attended by Diddy and Cassie. Then it was said that he was one of the former male prostitutes who spoke out about “freak-offs” in Diddy’s criminal trial. Howard has made many claims against Cassie, but none of them have been proven in court.

Cassie’s side is now making the case seem like more than just a public slander battle. Howard is also said to have called her a “whore” online, which her lawyers said was abusive language. They say that he is publicly trying to harass and scare her, and Cassie wants a hearing so that she can fight for an order that Howard can’t attack her in public.

The background is important because Cassie has already been at the center of one of the biggest star court cases in the past few years. Ventura talked about violence and “freak-offs” during Diddy’s federal trial. According to ABC News, Combs was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution related to Ventura and another woman named “Jane.”

That’s why this fix might still be important a long time from now. For Cassie, a court order could limit what Howard can say in public while his lawsuit is still going on. This scenario is especially true if the judge thinks that Howard’s posts were threatening and not protected speech. Howard might be testing how far someone can go in public making claims before a judge sees it as harassment or intimidation.

Currently, Cassie is not requesting a complete restart of the Diddy case. She wants the court to decide if this new part of the story is now a safety problem.
