Ak blames all of Atlanta for Lil Baby calling Akademiks “The Feds.” This is a fight that won’t go away

The “feds” claim had been made against DJ Akademiks before, but hearing it from Lil Baby on camera during a music video shoot in Atlanta seems to have been enough to make him fight back.

Baby was out in Atlanta making new videos when a video of him saying, “Fuck Akademiks, that n***a the feds,” came out. The video quickly went around, and Ak was ready.

“An audio recording of half of Atlanta rappers telling police, including half of the n***s he still calls ‘TWIN,’ is this n***a stupid? If I’m the Feds, Young Thug is the lieutenant I report to him,” Akademiks replied on social media.

The answer was sharp: Ak pointed the fed charge back at Baby’s own group by bringing up Young Thug and the RICO trial that shook Atlanta’s rap scene.

This fight started in October 2022, when Lil Baby released his album “It’s Only Me” and used two songs to insult Akademiks. He rapped on “Top Priority,” “Akademiks, I don’t think they can get touched.” He went after Ak’s money on “From Now On” with Future: “Akademiks know he isn’t as rich as me.”

Initially, Akademiks responded with laughter emojis. Then, things got worse on Twitch, where he joked that if Baby ever got caught in a RICO case, he’d show up to witness against him. Baby later said on “The Breakfast Club” that the “Akademiks” line wasn’t a direct threat but rather a comment on internet criticism in general. Ak didn’t believe it.

In January 2026, Baby’s helper K-Rich is said to have hit Akademiks at a Brand Risk event in Miami, making the fight the worst it had ever been. Ak had a multi-day livestream meltdown during which he called Baby a “pussy,” challenged him to fight, and dropped a big claim: that Quality Control Music had paid him $30,000 to support Baby’s music and calm things down, and that this payment was followed by the Miami ambush.

Adin Ross later said Baby would be open to a boxing match with a famous person, but only for an estimated $40 million. Akademiks got through.

When Baby and Young Thug were seen together in March 2026, it led to reports that they were working together, but Akademiks was back on livestream making fun of both of them. In May 2026, he asked Drake in public, “Yo, Drake, please keep Baby off the ICEMAN album altogether. “ICEMAN, you don’t need this jerk. Let this jerk go. They belong in Sephora aisle three.

Babe is back in the booth taking pictures, and Ak is still not letting it breathe.

Since 2022, these two have been going around and around each other. One of them resumes the action whenever there is a pause. Baby seems happy using his music as a way to get around. Akademiks is pleased to answer on any platform that is open to him. The next part of this rivalry is already being written. Reports suggest that Baby’s group is currently working on new music, and Ak has already dismissed it as “garbage.”
