Over 4,000 signatures and counting: the viral petition wants D4vd’s music to be taken off of Spotify, Apple Music, and other services right away
An increasing online petition is urging major streaming platforms to take down D4vd’s music as anger persists over the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The Change.org campaign initiated by Industry Blackout has exceeded thousands of signatures and is steadily gaining momentum on social media and within the music industry. Organizers stated, “As advocates against violence and abuse in the music industry, we at Industry Blackout are urging music streaming platforms and industry stakeholders to eliminate all music by the artist D4vd from their catalogs.”
The petition comes in light of prosecutors’ claims that D4vd fatally stabbed the 14-year-old in April 2025 following an alleged relationship, subsequently taking measures to hide the crime. He has entered a plea of not guilty to several charges, which encompass murder and offenses related to abuse, and the case is still in progress.
Supporters contend that platforms ought to take action as the legal process progresses, asserting, “Continuing to stream, promote, and profit from his catalog is a choice.” It is not a neutral statement. The petition states, “This is not about rushing judgment.” D4vd has entered a plea of not guilty, and the legal proceedings will move forward.
Organizers assert, “We will not rest until every form of justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez is realized,” encouraging the public to “Please sign and share this petition.”
