Megan Thee Stallion Ends Her Run in Moulin Rouge early in the days after Klay Thompson’s Cheating Breakup

Fans think it’s funny that Megan Thee Stallion cut short her run on Broadway after her breakup with Klay Thompson.

Megan Thee Stallion is leaving Broadway earlier than anyone thought she would. The Houston rapper said on Monday that her last show as Zidler in Moulin Rouge! was It will be Friday, May 1. That’s more than two weeks shorter than the original run she was booked for. Fans are quickly realizing that she is departing from her job at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, which was supposed to keep her occupied until May 17.

The news comes less than 72 hours after Megan stopped her relationship with Klay Thompson in public. She accused the Dallas Mavericks guard of cheating and wrote on Instagram that he was “holding her down through all your horrible mood swings,” leading people to wonder if he could really be monogamous. It’s important to her that her relationships are based on trust, loyalty, and respect, and she told E! News that there was no real way to move forward once those values were broken. By Friday night, she was on stage as Zidler, and she was crying during the curtain call. Since then, there has been video of that moment on every page.

Before this performance, hot guys were already worried about her. Back on March 31, Megan was taken to a nearby hospital during a show, just one week after her bow on Broadway. Her team said that doctors told them she was exhausted, dehydrated, had narrowed blood vessels, and had a low metabolic rate. She came back two nights later and kept going, but the fact that she did eight shows a week, dated an NBA player going through what sounded like a crazy season, and was the first woman to play the traditionally male Zidler part was bound to get to someone.

Megan was polite in her farewell speech. She thanked the cast and team and said they were some of the nicest people she had ever met. She also said that the Moulin Rouge family had pushed her to do better as an entertainer, which contributed to her decision to leave early in order to pursue new opportunities that align with her growth as an artist. What she didn’t do was explain why she left early. A new show will be revealed soon to replace the one that ran from May 2 to May 17. The original Harold Zidler, Eric Anderson, was already set to come back on May 19, after Megan’s run was over.

The songs tell you what she brought to that theater on their own. As of March 1, before Megan joined, the movie made $872,702 at the box office. As soon as she started, the show made a million dollars every week. For the week ending April 19, it made a total of $1,663,269. That’s almost twice as much as they had before Megan. Regardless of the stated reason for cutting things short, she certainly received a lot of attention and money while she was on stage.

People are now mainly talking about whether Megan needs to log off completely, remove Klay’s name from her timeline, and hide for a moment. In the past 18 months, she has been in a movie, opened on Broadway, made several albums, gone on tour, and been in a very public relationship. In March, Megan’s body was already sending her signals. The person who wrote the breakup letter sounds like she is finally ready to make her own choice. Ending Moulin Rouge might be the first real step in that direction, as it signifies her willingness to move on from past relationships and embrace new opportunities for personal growth.

Moulin Rouge! The musical will still be open. The show’s run on Broadway was stretched until August 30, which is five weeks later than the original end date. Megan was the first woman to play Zidler in the show’s history. Based on how many people came to see her, it’s likely not the last time the producers try to cast someone from outside of the typical Broadway group. The babe left her mark. The Hot Girl Recovery Summer can now start.
