Liverpool didn’t say anything new about Salah’s health.
The Egyptian star, however, has played his last game for the Reds, according to Hassan. “He tore his hamstring and will need four weeks of treatment,” Hassan told Reuters.
Salah has finished his time with Liverpool after nine seasons full of trophies. Instead of goals, he will speak to the fans after the last game of the season against Brentford as a way to say goodbye.
Liverpool still has two home games left, against Chelsea on May 9 and Brentford on May 24. They also have to go to Manchester United on May 3, a team Salah has often stifled, and play Villa away on May 17.
Salah has scored 12 goals and set up nine others this season, making him Liverpool’s third-highest scorer of all time.
He said Salah would be ready for the 2026 World Cup. Egypt will be in Group G with Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran.
But Salah is eager to get better in time for the North American tournament that starts on June 11 and avoid getting hurt again like he did before the 2018 tournament.
In the Champions League final, Real Madrid beat them 3-1, and he hurt his shoulder. In Russia, Egypt was eliminated at the group stage even though they scored twice in two games.
