Duke’s F Cameron Boozer announces his declaration for the NBA Draft
Prominent Duke freshman Cameron Boozer, the 2025-26 Naismith National Player of the Year, announced his declaration for the 2026 NBA Draft on Friday night.
He shared the news on his Instagram account with the caption, “Thank you for everything @dukeuniversity. Duke Blue forever.”
Cameron Boozer, the son of former Duke star Carlos Boozer, achieved remarkable statistics this season. He ranked second in the Atlantic Coast Conference and ninth nationally, averaging 22.5 points per game. Additionally, he led the conference with 10.2 rebounds per game, while also contributing 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals over the course of 38 games.
He earned first-team All American honors and is anticipated to be a top-three selection in this summer’s draft, alongside BYU forward AJ Dybantsa and Kansas guard Darryn Peterson, both of whom also declared for the draft this week.
Cayden, his twin brother, has declared his intention to return to Duke for his sophomore season, following an impressive freshman year where he averaged 7.7 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.3 rebounds.
