Three individuals have been charged following an attempted arson at the Iran International office in London

Three individuals have been charged in connection with an attempted arson that targeted the Iran International offices in northwest London earlier this week.

Three individuals have been charged by British police in connection with an attempted arson attack on offices associated with the television station Iran International in northwest London earlier this week.

Two men and a teenage boy, all British nationals, are accused of arson with intent to endanger life after an ignited container was thrown towards the premises of the broadcaster’s Persian company, Volant Media, on Wednesday evening. The device came to rest in a parking lot, resulting in no injuries or damage, as the fire extinguished itself on its own.

Authorities observed a suspicious vehicle attempting to enter the site earlier, but they denied it access just before the incident occurred.

The individuals accused are 21-year-old Oisin McGuinness, 19-year-old Nathan Dunn, and a 16-year-old boy whose identity cannot be disclosed for legal reasons. All three are set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court later on Friday. McGuinness is also confronted with an extra charge of dangerous driving.

Authorities disclosed that a vehicle escaped the scene and subsequently crashed following a pursuit by an armed response unit active in the vicinity.

The incident occurs against a backdrop of recent security issues in north London, which include attempted arson attacks aimed at a synagogue and previous vandalism involving ambulances from the Jewish volunteer emergency service Hatzola.

While authorities have not connected the incidents, senior police officials indicated that escalating tensions related to international conflicts have led to increased fears within the community.

Deputy Commissioner Matt Jukes of the Metropolitan Police stated that London’s Jewish communities and Iranian diaspora have been increasingly subjected to threats intended to instill fear and intimidation, as investigations into the most recent incident are ongoing.
