Another One: Ye’s Europe Tour Turmoil Escalates With Poland Concert Cancellation

Ye’s European tour plans have encountered another obstacle as officials in Poland have canceled his upcoming summer performance, citing concerns related to his previous antisemitic comments and ongoing controversies.

The rapper, known as Ye, was scheduled to perform on June 19 at Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. On Friday, stadium director Adam Strzyzewski declared that the event would not proceed as planned. “We wish to notify you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert is scheduled for June 19, 2026, at the… “The Slaski stadium event will not occur due to formal and legal reasons,” he stated in a Facebook announcement, as reported by Reuters.

Polish Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska expressed strong support for the decision made the previous day, deeming the planned concert unacceptable.

“We are discussing an artist who has openly shared antisemitic opinions, minimized criminal acts, and gained financially from the sale of swastika T-shirts.” These are not ‘controversies.’ She wrote, “This behavior is a conscious violation of boundaries and the acceptance of hatred.”

She stated, “In a nation marked by the legacy of the Holocaust, we cannot act as if this event is merely entertainment. Artistic freedom should not be interpreted as an unrestricted license for all actions. Culture must not serve as a platform for those who misuse it to propagate hatred.

The cancellation of the Poland date comes after another recent interruption abroad. West has announced that his concert scheduled for June 11 in Marseille, France, has been postponed “until further notice.”

“After careful reflection, I have decided to postpone my show in Marseille, France, until further notice,” he stated, adding, “I understand that it may take time to recognize the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.”

Despite the cancellations, West continues to have several international performances scheduled for later this year, including stops in India, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
