At a recent event at the Underground Lounge, Domani Harris engaged in a conversation with former NBA star Lou Williams, revealing a story that many fans were previously unaware of. The conversation shifted dramatically when Lou inquired, “Is it true you saved Yung Dro’s life?”
Domani acknowledged the incident, clarifying that it occurred while he was focused in the studio on one of his projects. “Absolutely!” He unfortunately overdosed at the studio while I was there working on an album. Domani recalled, “I think I was working on either Time Will Tell or Skydive.” The mood changed abruptly as the team recognized that something was amiss with the Atlanta legend. “And we noticed his breathing was unusual. It was as if, you understand? I believe that isn’t typical. We began performing CPR. The ambulance arrived and removed it from that location. They expressed their satisfaction in performing CPR. We understood how to proceed because he wouldn’t have been with us.

Years later, perhaps two or three years after he found peace within himself, he made the decision to share his story, and he did just that,” Domani said.
He observed that Dro has since achieved sobriety and is now in a significantly improved situation. “He was completely sober.” It certainly wasn’t me!
