Kelsey Plum will re-sign a subsidized contract with the Sparks
ESPN revealed on Sunday that guard Kelsey Plum, a two-time WNBA champion and four-time All-Star, is agreeing to a one-year, $999,999 contract to rejoin the Los Angeles Sparks.
Plum reportedly chose to accept a lower fee to provide the Sparks financial flexibility, even though he was in line for a $1.4 million supermax deal.
In her first season with Los Angeles, Plum, 31, averaged 19.5 points and 5.7 assists in 43 games (all starts).
Since being chosen by the then-San Antonio Stars/Las Vegas Aces team with the first overall choice of the 2017 WNBA Draft, she has averaged 15.1 points and 4.3 assists in 278 career games (236 starts).
