Judge Mathis Restores His Marriage as Wife Linda Reese Officially Withdraws Divorce Following Brief Separation

After months of uncertainty, Judge Mathis and Linda Reese Mathis have officially concluded their divorce and rekindled their marriage.

Recently submitted court documents indicate that Linda sought to have the case dismissed without prejudice earlier this week, and the clerk completed the dismissal the next day. The decision officially concludes a division that had previously jeopardized their nearly forty-year partnership.

The couple first parted ways in July 2024, with Linda submitting divorce papers soon after, citing irreconcilable differences after 39 years of marriage. At that moment, it represented an unexpected shift for a relationship that had been perceived as one of the more steady in the public eye.

By November, the two had subtly reconciled and affirmed that they were addressing their issues. Their reunion gained significant attention when they joined “The Tamron Hall Show,” where they candidly discussed the emotional impact of their separation and the work involved in rebuilding their relationship.

Judge Greg Mathis spoke about the breakup in profoundly personal terms, stating, “I’d do anything to get my mother back.” I did everything possible to win my wife back.

Linda expressed that feeling, clarifying that the process necessitated deliberate effort and a journey of rediscovery. She remarked, “We rediscovered one another.” We cherished our time engaging in that every single day.

The reconciliation process had already begun, and the official dismissal now eliminates any remaining legal connections to the separation, indicating that their marriage is completely on the mend.
