Trump revealed that the operation included direct interaction between US and Iranian forces, highlighting the unstable security situation related to the incident, which raises questions about the potential for further conflict and the implications for US-Iran relations.

The airman had gone missing following the downing of the fighter jet in southern Iran. US officials reported that another crew member, the pilot, had been located and rescued earlier; however, the second officer’s whereabouts remained uncertain for several hours, heightening concerns about potential capture.
