Valverde discloses that he injured Zidane’s son during training

Federico Valverde has discussed an unusual and concerning element of his dynamic playing style. Renowned for his powerful long-range shots and physical presence at Real Madrid, the midfielder acknowledged that his strikes have sometimes resulted in injuries during training sessions, including an incident with Luca Zidane.

“I’m modest, and I’m certainly not the Hulk, but I have occasionally injured one or two goalkeepers during training,” he shared. I caused an injury to Luca Zidane’s shoulder. I felt completely devastated, convinced that my job was at stake. I caused an injury to Zidane’s son.

In a humble manner, Valverde recognized that the force behind his shots has led to numerous shoulder injuries for goalkeepers throughout the years, even making a lighthearted comment about his physique: “I have really skinny legs; I don’t know where I get that from.”
