A white influencer placed her face on the body of a black creator and then attributed the swap to an AI agency

The original creator demands accountability as the apology redirects responsibility to the third-party content team.

A viral case of face-swapping has captivated social media, prompting one influencer to extend an apology. The apology from Lauren Blake follows creator Tatiana Elizabeth’s public statement regarding what she described as the unauthorized use of her image.

Tatiana guided viewers through the situation, highlighting the close alignment of the images.

“Bar for bar, the strangest aspect of this is that it’s not even an AI influencer.” “This is a genuine individual who utilized AI to place her head on my body,” she stated. She maintained a direct yet composed tone, adding, “I’m just a little perplexed.” I simply wish to understand the reason.

She clearly communicated her expectation for accountability from the outset.

“It would be considerate and responsible to reach out and at least apologize to the person whose photo you took,” Tatiana remarked, pointing out that there had been no initial response.

In light of the increasing attention, the post was taken down, and Lauren Blake released a statement.

“I would like to discuss a recent post made by a third-party AI content agency I’ve been collaborating with,” she stated, pointing out the external contribution to the post. She stated, “I take full responsibility for what appears on my platforms.”

Blake also acknowledged, “An image posted utilized the work and likeness of a Black creator in a way that is entirely inconsistent with my values,” and stated, “The post was removed, and I have spoken with the creator privately to apologize.”

She stated, “I sincerely apologize for the pain this has caused the original creator and the community as a whole.”

Nevertheless, the explanation has maintained its emphasis on timing and accountability, given that Tatiana’s callout occurred prior to any public response or acknowledgment.
