Floyd Mayweather Faces Lawsuit Over Outstanding Jewelry Bill: Miami Jeweler Alleges $1.3 Million Owed

The “King of Bling” is suing “Money” Mayweather over bounced checks and unpaid luxury watches.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is recognized for showcasing piles of cash, yet a renowned jeweler from Miami asserts that the boxing star is falling behind on settling his bills. Anthony Machado, the proprietor of AJ’s Jewelry and the creative force behind the University of Miami’s renowned “Turnover Chain,” has initiated legal proceedings in Miami-Dade County, claiming that Mayweather departed with several luxury items without completing the payment.

The shopping excursion featured 15 gold Cuban link chains, a gold bracelet, and 26 luxury watches from Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Audemars Piguet. After 17 years as a client, Machado claims that Mayweather has yet to settle the $1.675 million bill in full.

“Due to the enduring relationship and previous dealings between the parties, AJ’s Jewelry had a reasonable belief and reliance on Mayweather’s assurances to compensate for the jewelry items it acquired in full,” the complaint articulates.

The court documents outline a precise inventory of luxury items, including a $235,000 yellow gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual and two distinct Patek Philippe models, each valued at $105,000. The jeweler claims that Mayweather wired $300,000 in two payments during August and October, but the remaining funds have reportedly been difficult to recover. The filing reveals that the retired champion attempted to make payments using five different checks from August to November, but unfortunately, all of them bounced. Despite several efforts to settle the debt privately, the store asserts that Mayweather is still delaying the process.

“AJ’s Jewelry has consistently reached out to Mayweather, both verbally and in writing, to seek payment of the outstanding balance for the jewelry,” the complaint states. “Each time, Mayweather recognizes the obligation and assures payment for the jewelry, yet fails to send the owed funds.”

This legal challenge follows closely behind another federal lawsuit that was initiated last month by jeweler Leonard Sulaymanov. The case claims that Mayweather failed to meet the terms of a settlement intended to resolve an earlier $4 million jewelry debt. Although Mayweather allegedly missed his payment deadlines, the lawsuit highlights that he was actively showcasing his wealth on social media.

“Then on June 30, 2025, while neglecting to make the second installment payment, defendants Mr. Mayweather and Mr. Rechnitz were vacationing in the South of France and boasting about their extravagant spending,” the complaint states. “Further illustrating the Defendants’ dismissive and nonchalant approach to court cases, settlements, contracts, and financial responsibilities, on November 26, 2025, while still in default of the Contract, Mr. Mayweather shared a bold photo featuring millions in cash, claiming he ‘just be minding [his] own business’ while disregarding his legal and contractual duties.”

As of now, Mayweather’s legal team has not addressed the latest allegations from AJ’s Jewelry.
