China will introduce zero tariffs on imports from 53 African nations
China will offer zero-tariff treatment for imports from the 53 African countries with which it maintains diplomatic relations Starting May 1, 2026, according to reports from state media on Saturday.
According to the state television report, China will persist in advocating for the negotiation and signing of joint economic partnership agreements, while also enhancing market access for African exports to China through improved mechanisms like its “green channel.”
