Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang changes the number on his jersey
The number 97 at Olympique de Marseille will no longer be worn by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. According to the club, the 36-year-old Gabonese striker will now play as number 17 for the rest of the season.
The shirt that had generated attention in recent weeks was freed up as Matt O’Riley moved to Brighton & Hove Albion, making the decision viable.
Aubameyang, who wore number 10 in his first season at Marseille and then 97, will now be linked to the number 17. The former Premier League and La Liga attacker, who has 10 goals and 9 assists in 28 games in all competitions this season, feels the move would bring more luck as OM gets ready to play RC Strasbourg. This weekend in Alsace.
