King Voices Worry as Law Enforcement Evaluates Epstein-Linked Claims Against Prince Andrew

King Charles voices his worries as law enforcement evaluates claims involving Prince Andrew related to documents from the Jeffrey Epstein case.

King Charles has publicly addressed the recent developments in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, stating that Buckingham Palace is prepared to assist the police if they reach out concerning allegations against his brother, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

A spokesperson for the Palace stated: “The King has expressed, both verbally and through unprecedented actions, his deep concern regarding the allegations that continue to emerge about Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct.” Although the particular claims are for Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor to respond to, we are prepared to assist Thames Valley Police should they reach out to us, as is to be expected.

Thames Valley Police has confirmed that it is evaluating the potential grounds for investigating a complaint submitted by the anti-monarchy group Republic. The group has reported Mountbatten-Windsor for alleged misconduct in public office and a breach of official secrets.

The latest batch of Epstein documents includes emails that seem to indicate the former prince forwarded reports regarding official visits to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, along with confidential investment opportunities, to Epstein soon after obtaining them from his then-special adviser, Amit Patel.

One set of documents revealed that on 30 November 2010, he sent official visit reports to Epstein just five minutes after obtaining them, and on 24 December 2010, he purportedly shared confidential investment information from Afghanistan. Trade envoys, under official guidance, must uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive commercial or political information.

Buckingham Palace emphasized that the King and Queen’s “thoughts and sympathies have been, and continue to be, with the victims of any and all forms of abuse.”

On Monday, King Charles made a visit to Clitheroe, where a heckler called out, “How long have you known about Andrew?” which elicited boos from the audience.

The Palace statement came after a similar comment from the spokesperson for the Prince and Princess of Wales, expressing their “deep concern” over the recent revelations about Epstein, and emphasizing that their “thoughts remain focused on the victims” in light of Prince William’s forthcoming visit to Saudi Arabia.

Following the release of over three million documents concerning Epstein, scrutiny on Mountbatten-Windsor increased, accompanied by allegations that a second woman was dispatched to the UK by Epstein for a sexual encounter with him. Certain photographs in the files allegedly depicted Andrew in compromising situations.

The recent revelations have also led to embarrassment for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as her name surfaced in emails seeking support and funds from Epstein.

In late January 2026, Andrew was transferred from Royal Lodge in Windsor to King Charles’s private estate in Sandringham sooner than anticipated. In October 2025, he lost his royal titles as a prince and a duke following a previous series of disclosures related to Epstein.

Prince Andrew has repeatedly asserted that he has done nothing wrong. Officials emphasized that inclusion in the Epstein files does not inherently suggest any wrongdoing.
