Saudi’s Al-Hilal sign former Arsenal defender Pablo Mari
Pablo Mari, the former Arsenal defender, has made a move to Al-Hilal from Fiorentina, as announced by the leaders of the Saudi Pro League on Sunday.
The transfer will strengthen Al-Hilal’s defense, as Kalidou Koulibaly remains at the Africa Cup of Nations representing Senegal. Mari participated in 16 matches with Fiorentina across all competitions this season. “Al-Hilal has finalized a contract with Spanish defender Pablo Mari to transfer from Italian club Fiorentina on a six-month deal, which includes an option for an additional year,” the Saudi club announced in a statement.
The 32-year-old defender secured the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2020 and raised the Copa Libertadores trophy with Brazil’s Flamengo in 2019.
