Liverpool FC adds Ndiaye, a Senegalese teenager, to their U21 team
Mamadou Ndiaye, a young center-back from Senegal, has finalized his transfer from home team Amitie FC to Premier League powerhouse Liverpool’s Under-21 team.
The 18-year-old Ndiaye will join the Reds’ development levels and is anticipated to play for the team’s U21 squad, which participates in England’s premier junior leagues.
The highly regarded defender has international experience; in November, he played for Senegal in the FIFA U17 World Cup.
During the competition, he made four appearances and assisted his nation in making it to the knockout stages.
Ndiaye’s quick ascent through Senegal’s junior system is further demonstrated by the fact that he has already made appearances for the U18 national team.
Ndiaye is the most recent African potential to be entrusted with Liverpool’s long-term ambition as the club continues to add elite young talent to its academy.
With the goal of becoming a future first-team option for the Merseyside club, the adolescent will now start his adventure at Anfield.
