Maduro’s son sends a defiant message to his father, saying, “We Stand Firm”
Maduro’s son has vowed to be resilient and united, telling his imprisoned father that Venezuela is still strong and will wait for him to return.
During a Monday session of Venezuela’s National Assembly, the son of incarcerated Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro presented his mother and father, Cilia Flores, with an emotional message of sympathy.
From the congressional floor, where he is a lawmaker, Nicolás Maduro Guerra commended his father’s leadership and reassured him that his family and followers will not waver in his absence. He declared that they had been strengthened by the experience and promised to carry out what he called Maduro’s obligation to the country until his return.
Maduro Guerra spoke directly to his father, assuring him that the family will soon be reunited and that Venezuela was “in good hands.” He also comforted his mother by assuring her that she will see her kids again and emphasized that their relationship would always be strong despite the situation.
And I tell you, dad: you made us all strong members of the family,” he remarked. We are doing your job here until you get back. We will soon embrace here in Venezuela, and the motherland is in good hands, dad. You’ll also get to visit the children. You’re going to see them, Cilia. We shall see each other, Cilia. Goodbye Venezuela. God bless the country. Here, we are unwavering in our commitment to doing whatever is necessary for our country.
