Ray J is charged with six misdemeanors, and after a fight with Princess Love, his Christmas visitation with children is prohibited

A judge issues a restraining order after Ray J’s Thanksgiving arrest, preventing him from spending Christmas with his children.

Typically, the holidays are a time for family and introspection, but for Ray J and Princess Love, it has turned into a time of legal repercussions and public controversy. The musician is now prohibited from seeing his kids during some of the most significant events of the year due to what started out as a heated Thanksgiving Day altercation and has since escalated into a legal battle.

On Friday, December 19, a Los Angeles judge extended a domestic violence no-contact restraining order against the singer of “One Wish,” adding a somber twist to the ongoing drama between Ray J and Princess Love. TheShadeRoom claims that the decision essentially prevents Ray J from spending the Christmas season and his son’s next birthday with his two kids, Melody and Epik. Ray J told reporters, clearly distraught, “I’m missing my kids,” as he and his purported girlfriend, Shila, left the courtroom. “I’m missing Christmas, my son’s birthday,” he said, adding that he didn’t even want to discuss the subject anymore.

The Thanksgiving Scandal That Caused Princess Love and Ray J to Part

A terrifying event on November 27 is the cause of the current legal conflagration. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were dispatched to the couple’s Porter Ranch residence at approximately 4:00 in the morning after receiving complaints of a fatal weapon assault, as BOSSIP reported. Princess Love accused her estranged spouse of displaying a gun and threatening to kill another guy in the house during a livestream.

The Los Angeles City Attorney has proceeded with six misdemeanor charges against Ray J., notwithstanding the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s decision not to press felony charges. These accusations include endangering a kid, using force, and brandishing a handgun. According to Fox 11, the judge also mandated that the musician give up any firearms he presently possesses as part of the recent court hearings.

Princess Love has been outspoken about why she called the police, stressing that her children’s safety comes first. In a social media video, she stated, “I would never do anything to put them in danger, including leaving them with a man who is waving a gun around.” She also refuted Ray J’s accusations that she was the one being careless, claiming that the kids had discovered their father naked in bed with another lady on a prior visit.

Since Princess Love filed for divorce for the fourth time earlier this year, the dissolution of Ray J and Princess Love’s relationship has been a recurrent issue in headlines. But it appears that this most recent occurrence has caused her to change her priorities from making amends to calling for expert assistance.

Princess encouraged Ray J to get therapy for what she believes to be a more serious problem in a scathing letter to her separated husband. In an attempt to protect her own image as a mother, she said, “Check yourself into rehab, because you’re more than drunk.” “I do everything for my children, even if it means spending time with you when I don’t want to or must.”

Ray J, for his part, has shared his thoughts on what happened that evening, saying he was only protecting his children and his personal space. He said that the “defensive” stance he adopted was caused by Princess and her cousin attempting to take the children out of his room while intoxicated. Ray J has been permanently banned from Twitch, a streaming service, and has called his detention sentence an unpleasant wake-up call since the arrest.
