Kylie Minogue Leads UK Christmas Charts

The 57-year-old pop sensation became the first woman to have number one singles in four distinct decades when she debuted XMAS, which topped the UK’s Christmas charts for the first time.

With over 80 million records sold throughout her career, Kylie said to Official Charts: “It’s difficult to describe how unique this feels.

Being ranked first for Christmas is truly the best present! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and am incredibly grateful to everyone who has been listening and sharing the love.

Additionally, Kylie became the first female solo artist to top the UK charts at Christmas in twelve years. Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You and Wham!’s Last Christmas aren’t far behind Kylie’s smash hit this year.

During the process of creating her album Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped), Kylie recently acknowledged that she experienced “really bad migraines.”

The number-one pop sensation went back to the recording studio to update her 2015 holiday album Kylie Christmas and add four new songs. However, Kylie struggled with excruciating headaches throughout the sessions.

“Now, when I listen to the songs, it feels really good,” Kylie said in an interview with NME. Even though I was crying in the studio occasionally due to severe migraines, it felt like Christmas!

Additionally, Kylie acknowledged that she anticipated XMAS will break the UK charts.

“It would be amazing, but I honestly did not think about that when we first went into this promo,” she remarked. I’ve been so preoccupied with finishing everything and all the other details, but now that we’re here—

“That would be pleasant. However, since it’s a highly sought-after location and crazy things happen around Christmas, I don’t think it’s that predictable, so I’m cool with it nonetheless.
