Mariah Carey Will Perform in the Winter Olympics

Mariah Carey will perform during the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

The first big star scheduled to play at the Games’ opening ceremony, which will take place on February 6 in Milan’s San Siro stadium, is the chart-topping legend.

“Ciao,” Mariah remarked in a video clip announcing the news. Prepare for the 2026 Milano Cortina. I want to see you at the Olympic opening ceremony on February 6th at Stadium San Siro. I’ll see you in Milan.

Mariah’s attendance at the opening ceremony has also been announced by the local organizing committee.

“Mariah Carey fully represents the emotional atmosphere that accompanies the run-up to the Games,” the committee stated.

“Music is a universal language that draws in a variety of stories and sensibilities and ties in with the theme of harmony from the opening ceremony.”

Despite her enormous success in the music business and her status as one of the best-selling singers of all time, Mariah has previously acknowledged that she is unaware of how the general public views her.

“If people have a good sense of humor, they’ll just be like, Oh, we kind of get her,” she said to Variety. She’s not always serious, campy, and this or that. What people think of me is unknown to me.

“I don’t know what people think, so I’m not sure what the biggest misconception about me is,” Ellen [DeGeneres] said in a conversation with me. I’m not sure.

Mariah said that her public persona differs from who she is in real life.

“I really play it up with the diamonds and the hair and makeup and the this-and-the-that and the shoes and the whole ensemble, but honestly, is that me?” the 56-year-old singer remarked. I’m not entirely sure. Yes, I am partially to blame. Would I be upset, after all, if I received a brand-new diamond bracelet? No. However, that doesn’t mean that’s all that matters to me.
