Camara, the Senegal defender, will not play in the Nations Cup

The football federation of Senegal announced on Tuesday that full back Ilay Camara will not play in the Africa Cup of Nations finals because of an injury.

Concerns have also been raised about forward Assane Diao, who was hurt on Monday while playing for Como against AS Roma in Serie A.

The 20-year-old is in Group D with Benin, Botswana, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the tournament in Morocco, and Como coach Cesc Fabregas said he had requested Senegal not to pick him.

Next Tuesday, Senegal will play its first match against Botswana in Tangier.
