Jelly Roll and Tom Brady Honor John Cena During Retirement

Tom Brady and Jelly Roll were among the notable figures honoring John Cena as he concluded his career with the WWE.

The 48-year-old star concluded his professional wrestling career at Saturday Night’s Main Event following his final match against WWE star Gunther, with several stars honoring him through video messages prior to the event.

Former New England Patriots star Brady expressed: “Congratulations on an incredible career.” Your influence has touched the lives of countless individuals both within the ring and beyond it. Wishing you the best in your final match. I wish you have a better experience in yours than I had in mine.

Jelly Roll referred to Cena – who achieved his record-breaking 17th WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 41 – as “the legendary, never seen 17” in his tribute message.

He stated: “John Cena, the legendary, never seen 17.” I truly appreciate all the years we’ve shared. I appreciate the inspiration you’ve provided. We appreciate you for being the exemplary figure that we all required. You truly deserve this, my brother. Congratulations on your retirement! Wishing you all the best in this new chapter of your life.

In the days leading up to his retirement match, Cena expressed to Jimmy Kimmel Live his firm intention to never wrestle again.

He remarked, “It’s strange; there’s considerable scepticism surrounding this since it has never been attempted before.” I hope individuals can understand this because on the 13th – the reason I wanted to provide ample notice – is that after performing for two decades, with people welcoming me into their homes week after week, 52 weeks a year, without reruns, you truly develop a connection with them. …
He has confirmed his intention to remain engaged with the WWE even after his final match.

In an interview with Tom Rinaldi for WWE’s YouTube channel, he stated: “I will be an ambassador to WWE.” I have already committed for an additional five years.

“I said, ‘Please, just as long as you are able to do it.” I aspire to be a member of this family as an employee, contributing for as long as possible.

Cena is eager to discover what the future brings in his new position with the company that kickstarted his career in 2002.

He stated, “It’s no longer my time to perform.” I possess a variety of strengths and talents that I can share with others.

“I eagerly anticipate the next phase of my journey as an ambassador.”

“Perhaps being an ambassador involves encouraging more people to watch this, which was my initial aim.”

“And perhaps guidance to emerging talent” I wouldn’t invest my time in a situation where I can simply sit and ponder, ‘Who are you truly?’ How can I experience the rapping moment on the bus? I desire that person on television. I eagerly anticipate that.
