Bank might have a million-dollar loan hanging over its new ice cream company, Smize & Dream. A $2.8 million lawsuit alleging breach of contract has been launched against her by her former landlord.

According to court records, Banks signed a 10-year commercial lease with Christopher Powell but failed to fulfill her end of the agreement.

She immediately pulled out and refused to pay the rent, even though the structure was supposed to be used as an ice cream parlor and learning center at his Washington, D.C. property. According to Powell, Banks and Louis Bélanger-Martin, her longstanding companion, made up complaints to excuse their violation.

The supermodel allegedly used her celebrity influence to prevent Powell from suing, and the landlord also alleges that her partner is being sued.

Both parties signed the contract in April 2024, according to The Daily Mail, but they withdrew in June of the same year for no apparent reason. Their refusal to pay the rent and their unwillingness to enforce the lease were the main causes of the feud.
