Kimora Lee Simmons Labels Daughter Aoki’s Short-Lived Relationship with 65-Year-Old as “Predatorial” and “Crazy”
The businesswoman discusses her thoughts about Aoki’s relationship with Vittorio Assaf while juggling the difficulties of public parenthood.
Kimora Lee Simmons recently talked about her sentiments after her daughter, Aoki Lee, began dating chef Vittorio Assaf in April 2024, who was 65 at the time.
In a forthcoming episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast with host Amanda Hirsch, the businesswoman discussed her attitude to allowing her kid make her own decisions as well as her concerns for her daughter.
I let my children make their own errors, as I have stated. We were talking about living your life in public, and I believe that’s going to be really difficult,” she remarked.
The two got to know Assaf, the founder of Serafina Restaurant Group, while on vacation in St. Barths, a place the Simmons family often visits.
“As a child, I knew this guy.” He runs a restaurant. His reputation likely precedes him, but I’m not sure because I don’t want to run afoul of the law. Is it legal to say that?” she asked.
Simmons acknowledged that she was initially taken aback when she learned about the relationship.
“But it went from 0 to 100 very quickly, and I thought, ‘Aoki, I had no idea this existed.'” “I discovered it when everyone else did,” she remarked. She clarified that there are restrictions on her ability to react in public as a parent. “You can’t say, ‘I told you so,’ at this moment. “What the hell are you doing?” is not appropriate at this time. Right now, you are unable to provide those things.
Notwithstanding her reservations, Simmons stressed her belief in letting her kids make their own errors. Simmons described the interaction as “predatorial” in light of the age difference.
She acknowledged, “I do think it’s predatorial and kinda crazy.”
