John Cena Verifies New WWE Contract Just a Few Days Before His Retirement Match

The 48-year-old celebrity has stated that he intends to continue working for the company after his last match on December 13. He will retire from professional wrestling this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

In an interview with Tom Rinaldi for WWE’s YouTube channel, he declared, “I will be an ambassador to WWE.” I’ve already committed to another five years.

“Please, as long as you can do it,” I said. As long as possible, I would like to continue working and giving to this family.

The former wrestler who is now a Hollywood actor reaffirmed that the match this weekend will be his final in-person appearance for WWE.

“Physical activity, 100%,” he continued. “I rarely give absolutes because you never know— I do know in this case,” he said.

“This is the reason I can speak in absolutes; I don’t want to disappoint the people I promised.”

Cena is eager to see what the future holds in his new position with the organization that helped launch his career in 2002, though.

It’s no longer my turn to perform,” he declared. I can impart many of my talents and qualities.

“I’m excited to climb the second mountain as an ambassador.

“Maybe becoming an ambassador means spreading the word about this, which was my original intention.

“And perhaps talent mentoring I wouldn’t hang out with someone where I could sit and ask, “Who are you really?” How can I catch the bus rapping moment? I’d like to see that person on TV. I’m excited about those stuff.

Before he began freestyling with other wrestlers at the rear of the bus on a WWE tour of Europe, Cena had previously talked about how he was on the verge of being fired.

He would end his in-ring career in a few days, more than 20 years later.

In his final fight on Saturday, he will take on Austrian sensation GUNTHER, a former World Heavyweight Champion.

In keeping with Cena’s ideas about giving back to the industry, the evening will pit up-and-coming talent against some of the biggest names in WWE.

Oba Femi, the current NXT Champion, will take against Cody Rhodes, the WWE Champion and company leader, while Bayley will face Sol Ruca.

The 21-year-olds Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater of TNA Wrestling were confirmed to take on current tag team champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
