Janice Combs Corrects the Record and Calls the Netflix Documentary “Intentionally Misleading”

Janice Combs Calls “The Reckoning” Deceptive and Untrue

In Netflix’s documentary series Sean Combs: The Reckoning, Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, has stepped forth to refute allegations.

She called the show “intentionally misleading,” claiming it distorts the circumstances of her son’s upbringing as well as her connection with him. Her message to Deadline attempts to address what she characterizes as misrepresentations that might harm the family’s standing.

Janice declared, “I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix Sean Combs: The Reckoning.” “The purpose of these deliberate misrepresentations of my son Sean’s family life and upbringing is to deceive viewers and further damage our reputation.”

She emphasizes that she raised Sean with love and hard work, clearly disputing the idea that she was an abusive parent.

In response to allegations in the documentary series that she physically mistreated her son, Janice clarified, “I am depicted as an abusive parent in the program. It’s not true. I worked three or even four jobs while raising my son as a single mother, as I mentioned earlier, in an effort to give him a good education and a pleasant childhood. I didn’t abuse Sean; instead, I reared him with love and diligence.

She highlights her commitment as a parent and the costs she incurred in order to support her family.

Following the 1991 City College celebrity basketball game catastrophe, which resulted in nine fatalities and over thirty injuries, Janice also addressed claims that Sean had hit her.

“The allegations stated by Mr. Kirk Burrows that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and patently false,” she declared, vehemently refuting the accusations. We all had a pretty depressing day that day.

Due to its contentious assertions, the 50 Cent-executive-produced documentary series has now garnered a lot of attention.

By speaking forward, Janice Combs intends to rectify the narrative in the documentary series and make her participation in her son’s life more clear.

She maintains that the show misrepresents her and calls into question the love and work she invested in raising one of the most significant characters in hip-hop.
